Christmas is not essentially the main issue of this edition, as this time we choose another way of contemplation: the birth of a child changes the whole world. This is the sentence that Heidi Sartorius took to write her contribution below.
Julian Sartorius leads then to Epiphanias. The birth of Jesus Christ in Palestina in those times has connections to the Judaism.
Rolf Gutdeutsch explains with a comparing story our consciousness of history. In this context there is an article about a remarkable speech made by Prof.Dr. Georg Sauer telling us about land promises in the Old Testament.
This topic deals strongly with the political tense relationship between the past and the presence.
Further on Dr. Christoph Weist wants us to understand and accept when staff members of the Protestant Church take their responsibility seriously, saying "we must do this now".
The next text by superintendent Hellmut Santer, which was published several times, is again concerned with the happiness about the birth of a child.
Our church gives room for prayer and meditation. Especially the painting behind the altar inspires us in our prayers. That is what the article of Ernst Fak is about.
Rolf Gutdeutsch then tells us how, during a service, a song arose unexpectedly and without any plan.
